On the Streets of Philadelphia…

Philadelphia

Over at his blog, Jay Caragay has an interesting report on a coffee crawl he recently had through the City of Brotherly Love. No mention of a cheesestake or the Liberty Bell not even the World Champion Philadelphia Phillies, but Jay did see Aaron Ultimo and John Hornall among other Pennsylvanian coffee folks and a big upswing in the use of pour over bars.

I was originally drawn to the post because of one of the photos Jay posted. I thought it was of the cool cold brew contraption he bought at the SCAA in Atlanta, but alas, it was actually an installation at a Chinese coffee and tea house in Philly.

You can read all about Jay’s experience at this year’s SCAA in the latest issue of Barista Magazine. The iMag will be online in the next couple of days, and the print version will be arriving in mailboxes in the next couple of weeks.
