Klatch Coffee Recognizes Women-Owned and Operated Coffee Producers Throughout March
In honor of Women’s History Month, Klatch Coffee will donate 20% from the sale of each bag of Mujeres de Café (“Women of Coffee,” from producer Lucia Ortiz in El Salvador) sold in March to Grounds For Health: an organization dedicated to providing crucial women’s health programs in coffee communities. The coffee will also be available throughout the month at Klatch brick and mortar locations.
Empowering Women Across the Supply Chain, Single O & Two Good Co. Release Limited-Edition Coffee
Coffee roaster and café company Single O has partnered with social enterprise Two Good Co. to release a limited-edition coffee grown in Colombia by ASMUCAFE (Asociación de Mujeres Agropecuarias de Uribe): a collective of women farmers reinvesting coffee premiums back into their community to expand opportunities for more women to participate and lead.
Proceeds from every bag sold will be donated to Two Good to support its work creating paid
employment pathways in hospitality for women. The coffee is now available on Single O’s website.
Royal Cup Signs Agreement to Acquire Farmer Brothers Coffee Co.
Premium coffee and tea manufacturer Royal Cup announced this week that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Farmer Brothers Coffee Co., a national coffee roaster, wholesaler, and distributor. As part of the transaction, Royal Cup will acquire all outstanding shares of Farmer Brothers stock in an all-cash transaction.
Luckin Coffee To Buy Blue Bottle
Chinese coffee giant Luckin Coffee has acquired Blue Bottle Coffee from Nestlé. In a deal worth reportedly less than $400 million, the mammoth chain, which recently opened its 30,000th store in China, acquired the high-end brand from Nestlé. Blue Bottle reportedly was operating at a loss in 2025. Nestlé originally bought a majority stake in Blue Bottle for $425 million in 2017.
Coffee Project New York Spotlights Limited Release Coffee from Women Producers in Colombia
In honor of International Women’s Day, Coffee Project New York is spotlighting a limited release from Colombia: the Deyanira Ortíz Black Phoenix Gesha, grown by a standout woman producer in Tolima. Deyanira is a leader in the Black Condor Project, an initiative rebuilding coffee infrastructure in the Gaitana region after years of violent conflict. Her Gesha stood out so strongly at auction that Coffee Project NY voluntarily paid above the winning bid, helping Deyanira’s family reinvest in future harvests.
The coffee launches Friday, March 6th via coffeeprojectny.com, and coincides with Coffee Project New York’s annual Women Coffee Roasters Scholarship, which will be held in Colombia this year.
