World Coffee Research & CIAT Launch Data Platform for Climate-Smart Coffee Tree Replanting

Global warming and aging coffee trees are threatening the world’s coffee supply, and environmentalists are calling for the replanting of billions of coffee trees to protect farmer livelihoods, origin diversity, and supply security. World Coffee Research and the Alliance of Biodiversity & CIAT have launched CafeClima: a free web platform that compiles data to aid farmers and funders in the replanting process.

Coffee Project New York Brings Women Coffee Roasters Scholarship to Colombia

Coffee Project New York has announced that the 2026 edition of its Women Coffee Roasters Scholarship will take place in Medellin, Colombia. Now in its fifth year, the scholarship provides six female-identifying coffee professionals the opportunity to complete the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) Roasting Foundation course.
Applications officially open on March 1, 2026 and close on March 31. Recipients will be announced this April. Click here for more information.
Coffee Community Mourns the Loss of Jay and Kristen Ruskey of FRINJ Coffee
Jay and Kristen Ruskey, the husband-and-wife founders of FRINJ Coffee and Good Land Organics, passed away unexpectedly early this month, leaving behind three children. A GoFundMe campaign is currently raising funds for the Ruskey family.
