Mike Phillips is a tremendous coffee person not to mention an incredible, really good guy. He’s generous of spirit, and he loves learning and sharing. But when it comes to coffee, he takes it damn seriously. Mike visited Costa Rica to do some barista training in February of this year, and on that trip, he just happened to fall in love with a coffee, produced at Coopedota. For his competition, the focus is 100 percent on this coffee, in various forms of processing. It is always exciting to watch Mike perform, but today might have been his best turn yet.
Mike uses three versions of this coffee, so he has three hoppers, and watching him swap them out is great!Mike & SimonelliMike during the ultra complicated preparation of his signature drink.100% focused. All eyes on Mike.
