Be a Barista in the Hamptons! Interview During SCAA!

Happy staffers at Hampton Coffee Company, which was named by The New York Times as a Top Summer Hotspot!

Our friends at Hampton Coffee Company in New York have some pretty exciting news to share: they’re hiring! When I was checking out their website and reading about all the awesome things they do for their staff and the community spirit they foster, I was seriously thinking maybe I should give up this Barista Mag gig and head to the Hamptons; it sounds amazing!

Hampton Coffee Company actively recruits foreign exchange students to work their two shops and kiosk, in addition to awesome baristas from around the United States. Baristas not only get health/dental/vision insurance, but competitive pay and flexible schedules (you know, so you can enjoy that good life in the Hamptons when you’re not working bar). AND they do all this other fun stuff, too, like charity work, and company-sponsored outings for the staff. Hampton Coffee Company offers cash bonuses, and meal and drink allowances, and they’ll even help with finding housing.

Hampton Coffee Company is super committed to environmental efforts as well as doing good in their community; staffers do charity work for such organizations as Last Chance Animal Rescue, and the Retreat for Domestic Violence Services.

Seriously, this would be a pretty amazing gig. Jason Belkin of Hampton Coffee Company contacted me for some help in getting the word out about this: the company’s looking to hire some Barista Supervisors, and soon! Jason will be doing interviews during the SCAA show in Boston, so if you’re interested, you need to contact Jason pronto! Just email him at HamptonCoffee@aol.com.
