Australian International Coffee Awards!

It’s bonkers to think that the World Barista Championship (WBC) is one month away! This toughest coffee contest on the planet will take place within the hub of the Melbourne International Coffee Expo (MICE) from May 23 “25 at the Melbourne Showgrounds. We can’t wait!!

One thing we’re excited to see besides the battle for top barista honors on the planet is a new competition called the Australian International Coffee Awards (AICA) ”we promise to bring you all the news from that as well as our always extensive coverage of the WBC as the event’s exclusive media sponsor.

There’s still time to enter this international coffee roasting competition, which recognizes excellence in coffee; entries will be accepted through April 24!

The judges are a pretty esteemed panel of industry experts:

Rob Stewart, Ducale Coffee
Levent Doganay, Grinders Coffee

Zeta Grealy, Zeta’s Coffee

Organized by the Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria (RASV), this event will be pretty top notch. We look forward to learning which coffees most dazzle the judges so we can taste them for ourselves!
