What’s on at This Year’s Athens Coffee Festival
Since the Athens Coffee Festival’s debut in 2016, more than 130,000 professionals in the coffee industry and consumers interested in high-quality coffee have attended the event.
This year, leading coffee supply and production companies, equipment manufacturers, specialized coffee e-shops, and other beverage suppliers will be in attendance once again, showcasing their latest products and innovations.
Visitors will have the opportunity to sample a wide variety of coffees, learn about new brewing methods and machines, and find everything they need to make the perfect cup at home. The festival will also be packed with workshops and demonstrations from some of the world’s leading baristas, concerts with popular bands, contests with great prizes, and live DJ sets. And of course, no coffee festival would be complete without coffee championships!
This year’s Coffee Masterclasses promise to be the most informative and interesting yet. Some of the biggest names in the coffee industry will be in attendance, sharing their knowledge and insights on the current state of the industry and where it’s headed.
Award-winning baristas, important coffee market executives, and leading coffee brand representatives will discuss everything from new trends to ideas that could shape the future of coffee. Greek Coffee Championships
The Athens Coffee Festival will feature the Hellenic Coffee Championships by SCA Greece, with baristas competing in two categories in hopes of representing Greece at the SCA’s World Coffee Championships. This year’s categories are Roasting and Coffee In Good Spirits.
Fifth Greek AeroPress Contest
The fifth Greek AeroPress Championship, organized by the well-known coffee company Kudu Coffee Roasters, will take place at the Athens Coffee Festival on September 26. Talented baristas will compete for the right to represent Greece at the World AeroPress Championship, and visitors will have the opportunity to watch and learn from some of the experts with this coffee-brewing method.
Live Music and Prizes at the Athens Coffee Festival
The main stage at the Athens Coffee Festival will feature performances by popular radio producer and DJ Katerina Psimopoulou, as well as live music from bands 48 Hours and The Wedding Singers.
The festival will also offer many opportunities for visitors to win prizes from exhibitors by taking part in coffee knowledge competitions. These competitions will take place throughout the duration of the event, giving everyone a chance to show off their coffee expertise.
