Wednesday

It’s a beautiful summer morning here in Portland, and as usual we’re starting off with a nice french press. We’ve recently added a large café-style airpot to our routine. Previously we had an old green thermos that we kept our brewed coffee in. The airpot is a terrific addition, though every time I fill my cup up Spacey says to leave fifty cents for the refill.

Spacey

Who could say no to a face like that?

Anyway, we’re drinking a lovely coffee from our friends at Batdorf and Bronson, La Minita del Sol, from Costa Rica. It’s very nice with a nice balance of acidity and sweetness, but with a big body and smooth mouthfeel. I guess if I could sum it up with just an image it would be this, just as B&B’s website suggests:

Batdorf's La Minita

Now I have to get a refill, and pay Spacey his fifty cents.
