In February of 2009, Barista Magazine's Editor, Sarah Allen, traveled to the Southern Highlands of Tanzania to visit the unique nonprofit effort, The Songwa Project, which brings coffee professionals together in an intense learning environment to gain an intimate understanding of coffee growing in Africa.
